Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO) Refresher Training
Course Duration: One (1) Day
The Graspan Frankton Port Facility Security Officer Refresher Course is defined as continuation training undertaken by a professional already qualified as a PFSO, and in possession of a PFSO training certificate issued by one of DfT’s accredited training providers. Department for Transport Approved training program that follows the framework of the ISPS Code. The training requirements for PFSOs are set out in Chapter XI-2 of the Annex to the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS), 1974, as amended, and in Part A and B of the International Ship & Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code, which are mandatory requirements under UK legislation.
The Graspan Frankton PFSO refresher course specification has been developed by DfT, through its Maritime Operations Division to satisfy these requirements and must be completed at least every five years. Successful candidates will receive an approved refresher certificate. PFSO refresher courses are valid for a period of no more than five years from the date of course completion.
