Aim: Any business selling alcohol, including small pubs, retailers, large nightclubs, cafés, restaurants, hotels and sports facilities may need trained security staff qualified as door supervisors who hold an SIA licence.
Door supervisors are often the first point of contact between many businesses and members of the public. It is important therefore that they are effectively trained and meet legal requirements in what can be a challenging environment.
The Level 2 Award for Working as a Door Supervisor within the Private Security Industry is aimed at learners who want to apply for a licence from the Security Industry Authority (SIA) to work legally as a door supervisor. Based on the SIA’s own specifications and updated to meet the latest requirements, a Level 2 Award for door supervisors in the private security industry qualification is required by law for an individual to apply for a SIA licence to work as a door supervisor.
The average wage rate is £12/15hr earning up to £3000 per month.
Learners will need to show that they hold a current and valid First Aid or Emergency First Aid certificate* that meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. Learners should present their First Aid or Emergency First Aid certificate* to their training provider before they start training. This certificate* must be valid for at least 12 months from the course start date.
